Here is another picture of my favorite pole in the whole world. This would be such a great picture if it wasn't for the full moon and the Tetons in the background. I know it is difficult to see the Tetons. I probably should have used my flash. :) They are only about 50 miles away.

Chris,
It matters not that only a faint outline of the Tetons can be seen (thanks to the sun's illumination of the moon) nor that there is a full moon coming up "behind" the Tetons (from over here, the moon was in front of the Tetons). What matters is that you got an excellent shot of a wonderful looking pole. I envy your view :-D
What a pole. I miss poles, since here in Boise the lines are all buried. Essentially, the pole in your picture is a relic from the Cold War. Enjoy your pole.
Thanks for your input. I am trying to get this pole on the National Registry of Historic Poles.
Wow, the Tetons and the moon have a lot of gall trying to outshine such a magnificent pole!! I guess they are a little full of themselves and don't want to let something else that is worthy have the spotlight for a change. :-)
Scott,
We could have a great discussion about which side of the Tetons is better. I really like the Idaho side! I find the rolling farm land with groves of aspen and pine trees along with pine covered foothills and the Tetons in the background, spectacular. Another positive is that land does not cost 100 grand a square inch on the Idaho side.
