Gettin' it done on the Henry’s Fork

It has not taken long to figure out that October and November are the best two months for fishing in the Ashton area. What makes the fishing even better this time of year is all the tourists have left for the year and all the locals are busy hunting. It leaves miles of river and fat trout all to myself and whoever I bring with me. I finally got my dad out on the Henry’s Fork to do some fishing along with another friend from Texas. It has been a great fall for fishing.

Worthy of Worship

October Snow

Hymn 62
Isaac Watts
Come, let us join our cheerful songs
With angels round the throne;
Ten thousand thousand are their tongues,
But all their joys are one.

"Worthy the Lamb that died," they cry,
"To be exalted thus:"
"Worthy the Lamb," our lips reply,
"For he was slain for us."

Jesus is worthy to receive
Honor and power divine;
And blessings more than we can give,
Be, Lord, for ever thine.

Let all that dwell above the sky,
And air, and earth, and seas,
Conspire to lift thy glories high,
And speak thine endless praise.

The whole creation join in one,
To bless the sacred name
Of him that sits upon the throne,
And to adore the Lamb.

Faith Unfeigned

Over the past few months I have been working on a new blog. As a pastor in a heavily LDS area we continually hear claims about the faith of early Christians. We also have some JW friends that are very emphatic that the early church believed as they do. It seams that every one claims to be the current embodiment of the early church. I thought it would be fun (at least for a few people that are interested in this stuff) to take a more detailed look at the writings of early Christians and try to let them speak for themselves. Its been a fun study.

The blog is "Faith Unfeigned"
