Deformed Bill

These are two pictures of the same bird we had in our yard this morning. A few months ago I came across a story about bill deformities in Alaska. This is the first time I have seen something like this here in Idaho. In the little research I have done I have not seen anything reported on morning doves.

If anyone has any more information on this I would greatly appreciate it!

Ashton Lunker

The new Brown Trout state record was caught this week just a few miles outside of Ashton in the Ashton Reservoir. The fish was 27 pounds and 37 inches long. The guy that caught the fish is from Ashton and is very wisely keeping the place on the reservoir and the bait he was using a secret. The Channel 8 news report on the catch said the taxidermist found two partially digested 12 inch rainbow trout in its stomach. I don't know what the guy was using, but you might find Wendell and me skimming around the Ashton Reservoir in the next few days with 20 pound line trolling a 12 inch rainbow trout rapala. I'm hoping to catch his big brother.

Waiting for Winter

It is turning into a beautiful November here in Idaho.
Psalm 74:16-17
The day is Yours, the night also is Yours; You have prepared the light and the sun. You have set all the borders of the earth; You have made summer and winter.
